Adult Sibling-Centered Good Life Group

As your family changes and navigates new life stages, it is important that your sibling feels safe and secure throughout the transitions of life. Join us as we explore a safety for our siblings and use the trajectory to strategize steps to take in that direction.

Good Life Groups are interactive peer learning collaboratives that allow for hands-on learning, to build the capacity of self-advocates and family members to use the framework in their own lives.

Suggested Audience: Adults siblings of individuals with disabilities.

Technology and the internet can be very beneficial for people with disabilities. It can help them gain independence, communicate easier, access information and create online communities and relationships. With online bullies and scammers, it can also be a dangerous place for a vulnerable population. Join us for a statewide learning collaborative as use the Charting the LifeCourse tools and framework to discuss abuse prevention and cyber safety.

Good Life Groups are interactive peer learning collaboratives that allow for hands-on learning, to build the capacity of self-advocates and family members to use the framework in their own lives.

June 7, 2024 – CtLC in Action

12:30-2 p.m. CT virtual

Charting the LifeCourse in Action Meetings are for anyone who is directly applying or implementing CtLC in their organizations or professional roles. It is an interactive peer learning collaborative that allows for hands-on learning, piloting and identifying strategies for application and implementation. The CtLC in Action meetings are a safe space to talk about successes as well as challenges, where members can share their experiences, ask questions and receive peer coaching on implementing CtLC. The group is also the first to know about new products and provide their valuable feedback to the Nexus team. Meetings are currently held virtually.

Suggested Audience: Professionals implementing CtLC in their organizations/roles.

June 27, 2024 – Good Life Group

Does is seem more difficult to navigate relationships or find love if you have a disability? Whether it’s personal insecurities, societal issues or safety concerns, many barriers can arise. Join us as we explore dating and relationships in regards to disability using the Charting the LifeCourse framework.
